The primary challenge, however, is the difficulty in collecting this vital information. While almost all the freight vehicles are equipped with advanced sensors and telematics systems that can monitor their operations, fleet operators are often reluctant to share this data. Their hesitation stems from concerns about maintaining a competitive edge and avoiding regulatory scrutiny, which significantly hampers the ability of the city to make informed decisions and implement effective urban freight strategies.
